Updates to .docx file naming conventions for uploads
UCP has requested an update to the .docx file name upload rules that determine the book division into which the file is uploaded, and the type of component it becomes.
Division rules
- .docx files that begin with "a" go into Frontmatter
- .docx files that beegin with "w" go into Backmatter
- files that start with any other letters go into the Body
Component type rules:
- Frontmatter and backmatter: component
- "00" anywhere in filename: unnumbered chapter
- "pt0" anywhere in filename: part opener
- else, it's a normal numbered chapter
The above changes are implemented in !101 (merged)
I'm attaching a Word doc here, prepared by UCP, in which they also request specific strings in filenames that would cause component titles to be automatically added, e.g. "ded" anywhere in the file name would cause the component title to be "Dedication". This isn't functionality that currently exists, so it should be on hold at least for now, but I'm logging it here to capture the request. Filenaming_conventions.docx
