Chapters are missing in Book Settings (and should we add the H2s there too?)
Expected behaviour
When I go into Book Settings I should be shown one row for each chapter in my book. I should be able to edit the Left and Right runner headers per chapter.
Current behaviour
In Book settings, I am only shown two table rows. The other chapters are there (which is clear when you inspect) but the user can’t see or edit them.
Important note: In the current PagedJS templates (Les Angles and Juans Les Pins), it seems these headers are added automatically to books and not taken from Book Settings. Therefore besides for fixing the bug in the Book Settings UI, the options for generating running headers are:
- Templates always grab the headers from Book Settings (but H2s aren't shown in Book settings, should they be?).
- Templates always generate headers automatically (then should Book Settings be removed? I don't think so because frontmatter may need custom running headers for pages that don't include H1s).
- Templates generate headers automatically except when custom headers have been defined in Book Settings (but then it's quite confusing for the user where their running headers are coming from).
My preference is for point 1, with the addition of defining running headers per section (since the PagedJS templates have different running headers per section and if an H2 is really long it needs to be customized to be shortened into a reasonable running header).
Steps to reproduce
- Go to the OEN instance
- Go into an existing book which has more than 2 components
- Open Book settings
- See that only the first two components are shown there
