User ID and username field enhancements
Issue description; currently users are required to log in with an ORCID account. The users are prompted upon the first login to edit a username and email address (required). Some users have names and surnames, and others don't. This is confusing for editorial staff and users in general whose identity can sometimes be just an ORCID and default avatar. The user id (Name & Surname) should be pulled from ORCID, this is not happening in all scenarios - why is this? It does not seem to be impacted by the ORCID privacy settings. For example; my account is set to private my name and surname is still visible on Aperturedev and Apertureneuro.
Acceptance criteria;
-
User id (first name and last name) should be pulled from ORCID and appear as per current state (see screenshot below) -
My profile, 'Username' field should autopopulate with the users id (first name and last name). If there is no data then the field should be made a 'required' field, and the user should be prompted to provide a username. -
ORCID number should remain as displayed against the user profile (no enhancement required here).
