need to escape html entities on export to jats
The Kotahi/JATS paper had to be submitted in XML, so I ran it through Kotahi to make JATS, which worked. Except: there's an example of sample JATS in the text like this:
which I initially had as block-quoted text. This contains the string
which screws up the sectionizer – the <
and >
should be escaped and turned into <
and >
before we do anything else so there's not actual XML in there. There were also a couple of ampersands in there which made the XML parser unhappy.
I decided the best way to deal with this was to convert it to a graphic; we could make something that looks like this in Kotahi with lists of various indents, but it would have bullets or numbers next to it. I think we have a code block somewhere else in Wax, though it's not in Kotahi; I think implementing that and having a JATS conversion process to the JATS code element ( https://jats.nlm.nih.gov/archiving/tag-library/1.3/element/code.html ) which seems to work just like the HTML one is the way to support this if it seems like an important enough thing to support.
