NCBI testing release 1 June 2022
Hi @lathrops1
cc @DioneMentis
This release includes the following:
Vendor issues features
The three issues in the table below relate to the PDF2XML Vendor actions Epic and development for those are now done. The original development was done in #216 (closed) and general documentation is in #721 (closed). Please note issue #1240 (closed) has been logged by our team, which we need to fix to ensure the correct number counts on open issues in chapter-processed PDF books. Also, importantly, permissions for PDF2XML vendors and other user roles are being refactored in #1221 (closed), #1224 (closed) and #1225 (closed), so PDF2XML vendor actions are not fully developed on certain pages until those issues are done (to be specific, PDF2XML vendors cannot currently access the inside of PDF books or the Vendor issues tab until those permissions issues are done, so users with that role cannot test the flow yet). Those permissions are likely to be released next week, at which time the PDF2XML vendor actions could be tested in full (for now you could test with an admin account if you want to try out the UI). Of course, notifications are still in discussion so those won't work as desired until we finalise the spec for those and do the related development, but the @ mentions are triggering notifications already as described in the related issues. Let me know if you have any questions about any of this. I added example Vendor issues (one open and one closed) to a PDF book on your testing site here if you want to refer to that, or you can create your own Vendor issues on PDF books as an admin. I will send the demo via Mattermost in case you want to refer back to it.

Other issues in today's release
We added validation for required fields to the One doc metadata form, and also developed 'Scroll into view' for required fields in all metadata forms. We also improved navigation for repeated chapters, and fixed a typo for the 'Group chapters into parts' settings tooltip in chapter-processed books.
