NCBI testing release 9 June 2022
Hi @lathrops1
cc @DioneMentis
This release includes the following bug resolutions:
URL | Title | Milestone | Labels | Epic ID | Epic Title |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
#918 (closed) | Update error message when user role is added twice | 2022-Apr-A | dev::done,UI,bug,fix:: after prod deploy 1,release-20220609,scope::weight | ||
#1131 (closed) | Chapter-processed book metadata are not "sticking" in the UI after press save | 2022-Apr-A | dev::done,UI,bug,fix:: before prod deploy 1,release-20220609 |
The main content of this release is our work on permissions which covers the following issues.
The first two rows of issues below (#1118 (closed) and #1206 (closed)) are bug fixes to existing functionality. The next two rows (#1238 (closed) and #1249 (closed)) are recent changes to the way permissions worked previously based on your spreadsheet changes.
The last four rows of issues refactored all the permissions across the BCMS pages, to ensure they match the BCMS roles permissions sheet exactly for all actions included in the first deployment (those not in red on the sheet). These permissions should also satisfy the acceptance criteria for the PDF2XML vendor in #721 (closed), except for the notifications related criteria, although I didn't tick those criteria off because you didn't sign off on them yet, they match the permissions sheet that you approved.
During our final testing we realised that for issue #1224 (closed), editors should be able to drag and drop when manual ordering is on, and that is not working as expected, so we have opened #1253 (closed) for that item and we can fix it this week (can I add the priority label to it?). Besides for the refinement in #1253 (closed), we have two remaining permissions-related issues: #1039 (closed) and #1211 (closed). Those are back end issues and are labelled to fix after deployment, so please keep that in mind during testing.
