Agenda for Review meeting 3 March
Hi @all
Here is an update and the agenda for today's call.
Agenda
- Review update
- Schedule for next two week cycle
- Documentation needs
Update
Over the last two weeks NCBI has had internal meeting to discuss the workflow requirements for books that are processed at the book-part level versus books that are processed at the book level. Their decision is to focus on the data model and workflow requirements for book-part processesing (#19 (closed)), specifically Word-source books.
This focus suits the Coko team because it allows us to work on one workflow that covers all user roles (except the data supplier) and tackle important features such as multiple published versions of content, which is a use case at book-part level processing.
Schedule
- In progress: mapping out the Word-source workflow from beginning to end (due Thursday 5 March)
- In progress: amendments to current Admin and Dashboard wireframes (due Thursday 5 March)
- Create new wireframe 'Collection Manager' (due Monday 9 March)
- NCBI's Feedback Word-source workflow (due Thursday 12 March)
- In parallel to point 1 to 3: The developers will focus on completing the Admin page for NCBI's review (due 17 March)
Documentation needs
Within the context of our focus on book-part processing:
- Clarification on base requirements for metadata: book-parts versus the book versus the collection. (It will be helpful for us to use a real example of a book that is processed at the book-part level and is part of a collection).
- Clarification on the possible conversion errors in the Word-source workflow.
- Clarification on the TOC requirements:
- automatic ordering rules versus manual ordering by Editor
- generating the TOC at a BITS XML file within the source file manager
