Progress review agenda 23 March
For our review call today:
-
We are starting internal testing tomorrow of:
- create organization and create publisher in PMC BookTest
- create new book (xml workflow chapter-processed) in BCMS and create the domain in PMC BookTest
- make current book settings and update the domain in PMC BookTest
- submit xml chapter package via FTP for the new book (Cannot test real submission)
- xml chapter conversion and load to PMC
We expect to release for NCBI testing early next week.
To discuss
NCBI testing approach for FTP submissions. Suggest NCBI prepare and submit packages according to specs in #183:
- for multiple book component types: chapter, part, front matter, back matter
- files with and without conversion errors
- include contact information for
person-type="supplier"
for error report emails
Bear in mind that
- submission errors are not finalised (see #438 (closed)) so testing packages shouldn’t include errors at this stage.
- we've completed book manager UI for chapter-processed content with the understanding that TOCs are submitted via FTP (#401 (closed)), however based on #429 (closed) there may be further amendments needed, therefore dev implementation for xml tocs need to be resolved asap. We won't be able to test ordering of content until this is resolved.

As requested I've added documentation that was in GDoc to the wiki here
