PubSweet meeting on March 26th, 27th will be a REMOTE event
Hello fellow PubSweeters!
As you're all well aware, and as I am hearing from many of you, the situation for international travellers is becoming difficult these days. While it would be amazing to see you all in person again to innovate on open technologies in publishing, the forces of nature are currently not supportive.
We are cancelling our upcoming in-person event in London and will be organising (same date!) a 2-day remote meeting instead - 1 day conference + 1 day hackathon.
Yes, this is a completely new format for our meeting, and it also brings a lot of new opportunities: increasing accessibility and diversity, new technologies, new experiences in remote collaboration and many more!
I'll be in touch this week with more details. In the meantime, if you haven't yet, please register at https://attendize.coko.foundation/e/1/pubsweet-open-source-publishing-framework-meetup!
Also, since you've all probably been to a few remote conferences lately - I'd be very grateful if you could let me know the tips and tricks: What has made a remote event good/bad? What do you think could be improved?
Talk soon! Jure
