Confirm that Chrome's spellchecker correct feature doesn't have strange side effects
The editors would prefer not to see red underlining for on-the-fly spell check, and instead run a spell check function when they want it.
Chrome has a built-in spell check function, which is currently what adds red underlining to misspelled words (when Editoria is running in Chrome... of course). It is easy to disable Chrome's misspelling underlining:
Edit > Spelling and Grammar > uncheck "Check Spelling While Typing"
Chrome also has an interface for running a spell check on a page and inspecting each misspelled word one at a time. Part of this feature allows users to replace misspelled words with new ones. I'd like to confirm that using this feature has no strange side effects.
On the demo editoria.coko.foundation, I've added a back matter component called "Correct spelling test". Using Chrome's built-in spell check functionality, I replaced the last word - which was originally "fourz" - with "fours":
- type a misspelled word into the editor
- in chrome, click Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Show Spelling and Grammar
- using the following interface, click on a suggested word, then click "Change":
Can you check this fragment and confirm that this hasn't done anything strange behind the scenes, beyond make this replacement?
