Deleting a manuscript doesn't remove it from the list until refresh

From the Manuscripts page, click "Delete" for a manuscript. Nothing visibly happens. Attempting to "View" or "Control" the manuscript will display ugly error messages though, as the manuscript has actually been deleted.

I would expect a confirmation dialog to precede deletion, and the manuscript should immediately disappear from the list upon deletion.

There's a bigger question: Deletion seems like a tool that shouldn't frequently be used, as it appears to obliterate all trace of the submission. Perhaps it's most useful for testing purposes, whereas real use cases would more likely use the "Reject" workflow. What are the use cases for deletion?
