- The following message will be logged in the Control panel, Decision section per published action.
Successfully published; it is recommended to still confirm DOI are registered via https://doi.crossref.org/ but we have implemented the following solution to ensure system status feedback is provided when publishing manuscripts.
- A 'Posted Crossref' message is the result of a DOI being successfully being registered with Crossref production instance. This action can be checked manually via Crossref; https://doi.crossref.org/
- 'Posted to static website' message displays when the object has been published to Flax.
Errors messages displayed relating to server configuration;
- Could not publish to Crossref, as no DOI prefix is configured.
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Unrecognised DOI prefix "http://examplebrokendoiprefix".
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Depositor email address "invalid@email" is misconfigured
Errors messages displayed if the form is misconfigured;
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Manuscript has no submission.authors field
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Manuscript.submission.authors is not an array
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Manuscript has no title
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Manuscript has no abstract
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Field submission.articleURL is not a DOI link: "http://someurl.com/that/isnt/a/DOI"
User errors;
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Could not determine issue year
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Issue year '1234' does not appear to be a valid year
Errors messages display only if there are bugs in the system;
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Incomplete author record { "firstname": "Ben" }
- Publishing to Crossref failed: Manuscript has no submission object

Display log in instructions have been added to the login page.

'AuthorInput' form field type has been modified. The button to 'add another author' now reads as 'Add another person'. This name change allows for more flexible use of the field type e.g. capturing the names of suggested reviewers.
