Context
In BCMS testing, some users are using chat features on Error, Preview, and Vendor Queries pages, but those notifications are not getting received by all necessary recipients causing operational confusion and user complaints.
Proposal
Agree to either:
- Disable ALL chat functionality on ALL errors, preview, and vendor queries page, OR
- Ensure ALL notifications regardless WHO is or is not MENTIONED, IS received by all Bookshelf staff (SYSTEM ADMIN users) and external team members mapped to that content (ORG ADMIN, EDITORS, PDF2XML VENDOR) and include the text form the Vendor query issue or comment in the email
What's excluded
This proposal doesn't consider including images and any other attachments in the email because accepted attachment size varies between email providers, and the recommended limit is 10 MB. Users should sign in to the BCMS to access any attachments.
