Chunker doesn't ignore hidden elements (hidden element before cover results in blank page)
I don't think this is a big deal, but I thought I still report it, because standard compliance seems to be an important goal of the project.
Basically, I had something like this:
<div id='title' style='display: none;'>The title of my ebook</div>
<section id="cover"> ... </section>
(In #cover
I have a visible title, but I transform it in a way that makes it not usable with CSS generated content).
#title
triggers the creation of an empty page before #cover
, even so it's hidden.
This makes me think, that the chunker doesn't check if an element is visible or not (and therefore maybe splits content incorrectly, as well, if the content contains hidden elements).
This would be most relevant for people that want to use paged.js
to offer printable pages on their website (as display: none;
is often used to hide elements like the navigation bar, ads, etc.).
