h4, h5, and h6 create blocks that are hard to style in Wax
When headings of level h4, h5, or h6 are loaded into Wax, then the headings can’t be styled normally.
To reproduce:
- Load a document with heading levels h4, h5, or h6
- Click into or select one of the h4, h5, or h6 blocks
Instead of being able to apply styles to the block, all the styles in the left-hand pane are greyed out and cannot be applied.
A workaround is to make a selection that covers multiple blocks, apply a new styling, and then style the blocks independently as desired.
There are 2 possible solutions:
- Add h4, h5, and h6 to the style pane
- Add a step to Typescript to flatten all h4, h5, and h6s into h3s for porting into Wax
Previously, UCP had requested that we add whatever heading levels are included in the standard design spec. The spec has only h1, h2, and h3. However, at one point the editors had requested that we add h4, h5, and h6 as well. The tricky part of that is that we have no guidance for exporting them, as they're not in the spec. I will get clarification about it.
