Search/replace pane
The search replace functionnalities should be the following (by order of importance):
-
search for some specific text in the content and change it; -
search for specific styling and change it; -
search for specific text with specific styling and change it; -
move from one find to another (previous or next); -
replace one/few/all elements with another string; -
replace one/few/all elements with another style; -
search only the same case (lowercase, uppercase) -
search for regex (aka GREP in indesign so you can look for a series number, where searching a 1 will only let you find 1) This can be useful to look for all numbered item: figures, titles, etc.; -
include or exclude the footnotes in the search (or search only in the footnotes); -
indicate next to the scrollbar the location of the find (in the same way that chromium/chromium does by showing bars in the scrollbars)
The first version of the search/remplace should take care of the basics, but the mockups show some upcoming features to describe the look feel and behavior.
